My Waste Collection Reminders

Garbage (Kitchen Waste) is collected from my home on:

_____ Monday and Thursday       _____ Tuesday and Friday

Keep garage cans on the garage side of my home out of sight. Do not place them on the City parkway for collection.

Household Refuse and Clean Yard Waste (Trash) will be collected from the City parkway of my home on ________. Only up to one cubic yard (roughly the size of a dishwasher) is permitted weekly without additional charges. Household refuse may only be placed out for pick-up after 6 p.m. on the evening prior to my collection day.

Household refuse =accumulation of paper, excelsior, wooden or cardboard boxes or containers, sweepings, household furnishings, plastics products (other than recyclables) and all other accumulations of a nature other than garbage and clean yard waste.

Clean Yard Waste = accumulation of grass shrubbery cuttings and other refuse resulting from the care of lawns, shrubbery, vines, trees and tree limbs.

Recyclable materials will be collected on . Keep containers together with garbage containers on the garage side of my home out of sight. Do not place containers on the City parkway for collection.

Recyclable materials = newspapers, aluminum cans, steel cans, glass containers and plastic beverage containers. Don't recycle books, magazines, grocery bags, plastic wraps or bags, nozzles or rubber or styrofoam items.

Large appliances like washers, dryers, refrigerators or other heavy items must be scheduled for special pickup. Call 305-460-5346.

Toxic materials can be disposed of by calling the Miami-Dade Department of Solid Waste Management at 305-597-1768 in order to arrange drop off.
